Here are some of the questions I get asked most frequently about shoots, and the answers to them. Frustratingly the answer to most questions is "it depends" so feel free to get in touch for a chat anytime to see if I can help you.
What age/height/weight/size/gender do I need to be?
I prefer to work with adults. I will consider working with people under 18 but they must be accompanied by one of their parents/guardians.
Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and I am open to working with most people. I'm body positive, LGBTQIA+ positive, and just people positive in general. The only thing I don't tolerate is intolerance.
Who pays who? And how much?
This will vary from shoot to shoot and depends on a number of factors including the type of shoot, the location and props required, and any other creatives who may need to be involved. I love collaborating on creative shoots where no fees are involved at all, so please don't be afraid to approach me.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes, absolutely! But please think carefully about who you bring with you. It needs to be someone who you will not distract you or make you feel self-conscious while you are shooting, and is content to sit and be bored. If I feel that they are disrupting the shoot, I will ask them to leave. In exceptional circumstances I will terminate the shoot if I feel it necessary.
Generally speaking parents and partners are not a good idea, but you will know best. They must be 18+ and you should always tell me about them in advance.
When will I get the photos? And how? And how many?
I try to deliver images from shoots within 2 weeks. I've always managed it so far. I typically share the images in a folder on Dropbox which you can then download or save to your own Dropbox account (if you have one).
Please always download the images and don't screenshot them. Screenshots will look awful. The number of images will vary from shoot to shoot, but that is something we can discuss in advance.
Who owns the photos? Where will you post them? What can I do with them?
This is something else which will vary from shoot to shoot and should always be discussed and agreed in advance. By default I will legally own the copyright to all images but usage rights are negotiable.
